Co-Ed Day Camp

July 27-30, 2008
Boys and Girls
Ages 4-13

Our Co-Ed Day Camp is designed to provide expert instruction to the local soccer community at an inexpensive price.

Campers are grouped according to age and ability. Each daily session begins with a technical skills topic. Coaches patiently break down each skill to help campers get a full understanding of the mechanics needed to execute that skill. Campers are encouraged to be creative and not to worry about making mistakes. Mastery of soccer skills involves plenty of trial and error.

The latter part of the session is dedicated to tactical development and includes a lot of soccer activities that are designed to help players develop their technical ability and decision-making skills within the framework of competition. During this part of the session, players are grouped into teams and compete in a variety of scrimmages.

Most importantly, we want the camper to enjoy the learning experience. Our friendly coaches are experienced at integrating younger players (and their parents) into the camp atmosphere. Our goal is that the campers improve as players a little each day, enjoy the learning experience, and further develop their love for the game. We want each player to look forward to coming back to the next day of camp!

Meet The Rebels!
Many of the Rebel players serve as staff coaches during the Co-Ed Day Camp. This is a chance for aspiring young soccer players to meet wonderful role models that can genuinely impact their development as players and people. An autograph session is held on the final day. Meeting the Rebels is a highlight for many of our campers.

Supervision
Safety is always the top priority for our camps. We understand the challenges specific to the youngest campers, so we make sure that there is adequate supervision for each session. Water breaks are frequent to ensure proper hydration.

Parents are encouraged to watch any of our field sessions! Parents can help prepare their campers by feeding them a healthy breakfast and coating them with sunscreen before camp begins.

Serious injuries are exceptionally rare. In the event of bumps and bruises, we have a full-time certified athletic trainer on call at all times. Please take time to notify us if your camper has a medical condition (such as allergies) that may require close attention.

Goalkeepers
Like all of our camps, the Co-Ed Day Camp includes specialized training for goalkeepers. Ole Miss Goalkeepers Coach Melinda Scruggs provides individual technical and tactical instruction for our bravest campers!

What To Bring
Campers should arrive at camp ready to play in soccer attire including soccer shoes and shin guards. Campers should also bring water and a soccer ball.
